As the weekend ended, I wrapped up the Netflix series Titletown High. It’s an eight episode mini-series about one of the most recognized high school football teams in the USA: the Valdosta Wildcats. Based in a town riddled with gangs (the last count was 12 gangs in 2016, which included the Bloods, Crips and the Sinaloa’s enforcers, MS-13) the team was still primed to win a State Championship in 2020.
And that’s because the school had just hired Coach Rush Propst, a coach with a whopping 300 game wins behind him over 30 years. And that’s where the Netflix series begins. Sounds hopeful, right?
Unfortunately, Valdosta’s Touchdown Club was full of racists. And the lawyers and the court system have plenty of records to prove it. In fact, you can check in on Valdosta’s football teams today! Their white coaches are gone. And so are their scholarships and wins.
Oh, and Michael ‘Nub’ Nelson has been ousted too. He travels around with a bodyguard now.
And that’s where my podcast starts. And it’s a long podcast, at a whopping two hours. But the alternative was making a two-part podcast and I didn’t think my health would hold up for that. So – 2 hours in one go!
Oh. And I talk about the teenage love triangle between Grayson, Lenley and Zoey as well. It was painful watching parents navigate their daughters into heart-smashing habits. Ouch!!! Here’s a hint: don’t ever text “lmk” to a boyfriend or girlfriend if they’ve already lyk, ok? Red flags exist for a reason. Ignore them, and you’ll lose your youthful luster.
But enough about that. You’ll hear plenty in my podcast today.

Also! Today is July 31! I taped my very first podcast on January 31 of this year! That’s just six months ago. I’m very, very happy.
That means I’ve taped 132 episodes in just 6 months, or 24 weeks. I did the math (this channel has ensured my improvement in the area!). I’ve recorded an average of 5.5 episodes a week! That’s nearly an episode a day! I can’t wait to tell my doctors!!!! THANK YOU!!!
